What is AOD?

Animation on Display (AOD) is a San Francisco-based convention that celebrates the animated arts from around the world in all mediums -- Japanese anime, cartoons, and video games from all around the world! Join us for our sixth year as we host animation seminars and workshops, fabulous guests, a costume contest, vendors, community artists, and more, all squeezed into two exciting days!

Schedule of Events online!
2/12/08 - Start planning your convention fun: the 2008 Schedule of Events is now online in Adobe PDF format. The same schedule is available in the Program Guide at the event.

Event Descriptions Are Up!
2/8/08 - Event descriptions are now available for your perusal. A schedule of event times will be posted by early next week. Also, convention rules have been updated.

Extended Pre-Reg and Cosplay Info!
2/4/08 - We're extending our pre-reg deadline until Friday, 2/8, so you have one more week to take advantage of our $30 weekend registration. Also, information on our Cosplay and Iron Cosplay events is now available.

Swap Meet
1/24/08 - AOD is happy to announce the return of the Swap Meet to our convention. Attendees are invited to bring extra toys, DVDs, books, artwork, and so on to buy, sale, and trade in our Swap Meet. Check out the Swap Meet page for all the details regarding sign-ups and rules.

More Guests Announced!
1/8/08 - We welcome in the new year by announcing more exciting Guests of Honor who you'll be able ot meet and talk with at AOD. Ken Pontac from Happy Tree Friends is joining us again, and Neil Kaplan, the voice of Optimus Prime in Transformers: Robots in Disguise, among many other things, is coming out for his first time! We also will host Vic Mignogna of Fullmetal Alchemist fame!

First Guests of Honor!
12/7/07 - Please welcome our first confirmed Guests of Honor for AOD 2008: Tommy Yune (Robotech) and Marv Wolfman (Teen Titans). We have more Guests coming very shortly so check back soon!

Artist Alley Sold Out!
12/3/07 - We'd like to thank everyone who stopped by out booth at the Fremont Anime Faire over last weekend. Everyone had a great time. Also, our Artist Alley is now officially sold out! If you want to try your luck, sign up for the wait list.
