Since the dawn of time, humanity has absolutely filled its spare time with games of all sorts. Continue this honorable tradition at AOD, with video games, board games, card games, trivia games, and more. If you think all ingenuity in gaming is gone, come shake that fear experiencing the vast variety of gaming concepts explored at AOD.

10-Year Throwback Tourney: Capcom vs. SNK 2

Starting on Sat at 5 pm. In room Video Gaming.
As part of the Ten Year Anniversary of AOD, we are turning back the clock and seeing who wants to throw down in Capcom vs. SNK 2!

Capcom vs. SNK 2, released in 2001, combines characters and gameplay elements from various Capcom and SNK fighting games, mainly the Street Fighter and The King of Fighters series. Other elements, most noticeably different fighting styles, incorporated elements from other games as well, such as Street Fighter III, Garou: Mark of the Wolves, and the Samurai Shodown series.

Kill the Monsters, Steal the Treasure, Karate Chop Your Buddy! Come join us for Munchkin Fu, eight other Munchkin variations, and all the rest of the Board Games we have for you to play in the Board Game Room. We are teaching you to play Apples to Apples and see who associates what words with which (often very wrong but funny) ideas; join us for some Killer Bunnies or Zombies mayhem, lose yourself in Betrayal At House On The Hill, let us show you the new variations of Risk, and even play great out of print games like Pokemon the board game. A valid photo ID is required to check out games and borrowed games must remain in the room at all times. We also welcome people bringing their own games and decks of Magic the Gathering or other card games to play.

Board Gaming is open on Saturday from 10am to Midnight, and on Sunday from 10am to the convention's close.

Cards Against Humanity (18+)

Do You Worship Cthulhu?

Join us for the AOD Game Show! Lots of trivia and lots of prizes available for those who want to get on stage. All of the contestants come straight from the audience, so just show up and get ready to play, and you just might get picked!

Questions are about anime series, manga, video games, and other general knowledge. We cover some old, some new, some classic, and plenty of awesome series. If you've got a broad knowledge of things, you've got a great chance.

The main show runs on Sunday at noon, and we have three separate game shows during this time slot, so it's okay to come at any time and join the fun!

Skullgirls: The Making of a Competitive Fighting Game

The award-winning 2D fighting game Skullgirls started with the chance merger of tournament player Mike Z's pet project, a fighting game engine, with artist Alex Ahad's pet project, an illustrated game world, eventually launching in 2012 as a PSN & XBLA best-seller. Join the art, animation, and design brains behind Skullgirls as they discuss the uphill battle to creating a unique, lovingly-crafted competitive fighting game.

Super Street Fighter IV AE 2012 Tournament

The Video Gaming room at AOD features consoles from nearly all eras of video gaming. Come and relax with a wide variety of games from old favorites or try something brand new.
